JumP!

Growing up our family didn’t own a trampoline but the neighbors across the street did and we basically lived on it all summer long! We had MANY sleepovers on it and loved to put the sprinkler under it. With all the kids in that neighborhood it got A LOT of abuse. A few years ago when we moved into our home one of our neighbors was selling their trampoline and it was as old as I was but it was a great price so we decided to buy it. The kids have loved it and luckily we haven’t had any accidents on it (knock on wood)! So what is it about trampolines that just make everyone so happy? For me it definitely makes me feel like a kid again and I love that I can still do a back flip and the feeling of being weightless well...let’s face it anytime I feel weightless it’s worth it! :) I have been trying to get my kids to sleep out on the trampoline with me but they just aren’t as excited about the idea as I am.

And of course I can’t post anything without pictures so here are a few of the kids showing off their trampoline skills...

Tyler loves to practice his Taekwondo moves on the trampoline.

Jake`s Birthday and Downata Hot Springs...

Jake turned 2 last weekend and we were at a family reunion at Downata hot springs so we just made a big birthday party out of it. We took our trailer and "camped" at Downata along with my parents and sister then the next day the rest of the family came and we swam ALL day, it is a really fun little place to go, the water is warm the slides are fun and the lines are not long. Jake loved the water playground and just being in the pool. We couldn`t keep Tyler and Kylee away from the slides and Tyler even went down the black hole (this slide even scared me)! Kylee was so proud of herself because she learned how to swim and was getting better and better by the end of the day.

We took a break from swimming to have a little birthday party for Jake, of course he got very spoiled by everyone and I think he had a really fun day.

When we got home we had another birthday party with his other grandparents and cousins. He got the tickle torture from his uncle Brad and loved every second of it!

Wow what a week we have had, it has been so busy but we have been having so much fun!

The week started out with Kylee’s birthday party (thanks everyone for coming). Then we had a family reunion with one of my mom’s brothers and their families. There were 18 kids 8 years and younger between the 2 families. My kids loved seeing their 2nd cousins, it doesn’t happen very often so when it does we try to make a huge party out of it! We had a Bar-B-Q and a huge water fight (a tradition that is always started by my oldest cousin Stacey and my mom). As soon as Stacey put the ice down my mom’s back it began. The water fight lasted about 2 hours and even Jake participated in it! The kids (and adults) spent the day swimming and visiting then we went and watched the big fireworks show that Melaleuca puts on every year.

Even kids aren’t safe in our water fights!

Poor Mike, he never even saw that water coming!

The next day we were invited to Sherelle and David’s home to have a BBQ and watch the UFC fights. (Thanks guys, it was a lot of fun!!) Before the fights we went down the huge slip-n-slide at their house...so much fun!

Jake loved the slide!

Sherelle and Kate

Love the look on Tyler’s face

Grace (Sherelle’s oldest) she’s a pro on this thing

Casey and David decided to be very helpful and clean up after dinner and since we had hamburgers and home made french fries there was a lot of left over oil that needed to be taken care of. They couldn’t find anywhere to put the oil so Casey decided to help them out with that. You will have to go to Sherelle`s blog to find out what happened, you will get a pretty good laugh! Sorry again Sherelle!!
