And Their Off...

Today’s the big day...the first day of school. Tyler is now in 3rd grade and Kylee is in 1st. Kylee was a little nervous this morning but very excited! She has such a good big brother that will take good care of her and look out for her at school. And Tyler, well let’s just say he doesn’t get too excited for school, it’s not one of his favorite places to be.
When we went to registration Kylee found out that 3 of her best friends are all in her class this year so I think she will do just fine and Tyler has the same teacher he had last year (she is the best) because she moved up to third grade so we were both really excited about that!
Now that I have two kids in school all day it means I get to spend a lot of one on one time with Jake (poor kid). He is so used to having his brother and sister to entertain him (so am I) he cried this morning when we dropped them off. I guess Jake is just going to have to become my new shopping buddy!

CONGRATULATIONS...

Matt and Camille she is finally here!!

My sister-in-law thought she was going to be having her baby over 3 weeks ago because she started to have a few complications but I guess she just wasn`t quite ready to make her appearance. Not only did Camille make it to her due date she passed it by 3 days! We are so happy she is here.
She is beautiful Matt and Cam...Congrats!
*And thanks Ashley for the cute frame!*
Shoshone Falls and Finally pictures of Tyler...

I love taking Sunday drives and last Sunday afternoon we decided to take the kids to Casey’s old college stomping grounds and to see the Shoshone Falls. I had not been to the falls since I was a little girl and when we went they just happened to be turned off for the season. So it was fun to take the kids and actually see them falling (the water that is, not the kids) :) After we saw the waterfalls we drove around the CSI campus to show the kids where Dad played baseball, let Casey re-live the glory days for a minute then we drove down in the canyon to look at the golf course. There is just something so beautiful about a well manicured golf course...love them! If you live close, I would recommend going to see the falls before they turn them off, they really are beautiful. Oh, and if you do go, take your swimming suits because there is a really fun swimming area and park just up from the falls, I think we will have to go back cuz the kids were really bummed they couldn’t swim that day.

And I finally did it...I was able to get Tyler to let me take his picture! Give a boy a tractor to sit on and it’s amazing how cooperative he becomes. Here are a few of my favorites...

Growing up our family didn’t own a trampoline but the neighbors across the street did and we basically lived on it all summer long! We had MANY sleepovers on it and loved to put the sprinkler under it. With all the kids in that neighborhood it got A LOT of abuse. A few years ago when we moved into our home one of our neighbors was selling their trampoline and it was as old as I was but it was a great price so we decided to buy it. The kids have loved it and luckily we haven’t had any accidents on it (knock on wood)! So what is it about trampolines that just make everyone so happy? For me it definitely makes me feel like a kid again and I love that I can still do a back flip and the feeling of being weightless well...let’s face it anytime I feel weightless it’s worth it! :) I have been trying to get my kids to sleep out on the trampoline with me but they just aren’t as excited about the idea as I am.
And of course I can’t post anything without pictures so here are a few of the kids showing off their trampoline skills...
